Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I need to use a an electrical neuromuscular stimulator to help get back and maintain muscle tone. Right now the PTist and I are working on legs, and shoulder traps will be next, but really there isn't a strong muscle in my body. Anyway, I was advised I may as well buy one of these little machines. I had rented one from the local health store and they charged us $70 cdn to rent a model from 1980 that is a real nasty prickly b*gg*r wiht only one channel of output, and they wanted $500 dollars for me to buy it! AGH excuse me? Anyway, I got on the web and located a great little online store called " PT Mart " . I got a great model (EMS TS 1311 for those interested) for 90 US!!! Want to hear the clencher? The supply store in Ottawa who specializes in these things wanted $495 for it!!! So with shipping and $22 cdn for customs the total cost about $150 cdn. And it came with a hard case, battery, two sets of 4 electrodes, and the manual. I have just used it and after getting the settings worked out it really is a great little machine. The muscle stim isn't at all as painful as the other 1980 old rental model was, and there are 2 channels of output. So anyway, here is the address to PT Mart (www.ptmart.com)'s 'TS EMS 1311' neuromuscular stim I've got for anyone who needs one of these things. http://www.ptmart.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TS1311 And for kicks, here is the link to the supplier in Ottawa listing this exact thing for a little over 3X as much... http://www.mylontech.com/ts1311.asp Bye for now! I hope this post saves someone a bit of money! (((HUGS))) -Rhea
