My daughter drove to Houston this weekend and said she got caught in your severe weather and had to pray out loud (her words) to get home safely because it hit as she was driving from Dallas to her home in Garland. She said it was a big relief to get the storm behind her. To put it mildly. Sounds as if you have a nice 12 year old granddaughter. I understand about keeping them from getting bored. However I think it's okay for them to slow down and take it easy once in a while. Visiting grandma has its own rewards whether, at 12, they realize it or not. You sound like a good grandma to me.
