Guest guest
Hi Cheryl If you're worried about your surgeons skill you can demand to see another, however you will have to wait longer still, Mr Fordyce does the BHR at K and S hospital, Also Mr Apthorp (I think) does them at Hastings, he seemed excellent when I went to see him for a second opinion. Have you had surgery before? If so you shouldn't worry as you know what to expect, I had mine at the Bupa and it was a walk in the park compared to all my previous surgery (especially the knee reconstruction I had the year before due to an accident). I'm not going to lie and say it won't hurt, just remember to use the pain relief when you need it (you may have an epidural so you will feel very little, I opted for a self administered morphine pump). If you are worried ask for assistance and try not to worry, you are bound to build it up in your mind, when you go in it won't be half as bad as you thought it would be. Feel free to email me if you need anything
