It's another "urban legend" that's been around for several years. While there may be individuals who have reactions to aspartame (as with any other substance in the world), the horror story is listed as a hoax on Snopes.com. If it were not reasonably safe to consume it would either be withdrawn for the market or, at the least, made available only by presecription to the thousands and thousands of people who must limit their sugar intake due to diabetes. I do wish people would check these things out before passing them around.

Thanks. That was beginning to scare me. I was thinking that I put Lupus on myself because of the food I ate and the sodas I drink. I'm sure that there was no harm meant in passing this tale around.
