-anne,

I had a hysterectomy almost 3 years ago at 49

years of age. My health went downhill from then on.

First they discovered hashimotas thyroidism (low

thyroid). After taking synthroid my joint and muscle

pain symptoms remained. I had a positive ana and sed

rate. I also had many more symptoms and my internist

diagnosed lupus and sent me to rheumy. It took about

a year to find the rheumy that I wanted to stick with.

Then another 6 months of different drugs until I got

the cocktail that finally made me feel better most of

the time. I also have sjogren's, raynauds as well.

I also developed interstitial cystitis and a very

leaky bladder. I had a bladder sling repair on

Wednesday. My body didn't like the material they used

for the sling and my bladder eroded within hours and

leaked into my abdomen. wednesday night I had to go

back in for emergency surgery to remove the sling and

put in another material. I am home now on a foley

catheter. The bladder problems were also the result

of the hysterectomy. It seems like there is something

new popping up all the time. Hope you find a good doc

and diagnosis quicker than I did. Georgia
