Not really. He was happy to be with me. He totally trusted his doctors and me to do the right thing. >You can still have a little service for him even with the cremation. Yes, my friend Lynn told me that. The worse choice, is from hospital to cremation with time for me and MIL to see him. The next is cremation and memorial service. The next highest basic service would be a wake, service and choice of cremation or burial in the military plot ... where I could/would be when the time came. I am not against the idea of cremation it just feels bad with reference to my " honey-bunch " -- I know emotions. But I do know I got to do something and soon. I did think of have him prepared, I see him, cremation and memorial services later. His Mom however said she is okay with that because he is my husband but I see her struggle to help me have a decent affair. I am also frustrated over how I was NOT informed about Bill actual level of illness. IMHO there is a big difference between lung cancer controlled and double lung cancer with metastatic to the brain and liver and bone. The latter explains his personality change and depression. How can they " forget " to tell me that? They said, sorry, we thought you knew. So, what did they expect me to do with two days notice? Everyone knows what brain and Liver cancer means. With all three, of course things got bad quickly. I was envisioning things going a wee bit slower. Sorry, I get emotional. Caro.
