As dictated: " I see it's time to let you into my secret. The Belgian

hip-meister worked his magic on my right leg and the day after the

operation I was walking without crutches. The physios were amazed and

told me to 'poussez l'envelope' which I think is Belgian for 'go to

the post-office'. So I did on the second day. There, there was an

advert for bungee jumping. It was fate I told myself and booked a jump

for the following weekend. The day arrived, seven days after the 'op,

and I tied the bungee cord onto the right leg, made sure my

voice-activated recorder, into which I am dictating this message, was

working and leapt off the platform. Woweeeeeeeeeeeeeee........What

the....Oh, no... "

Unfortunately the person who dictated this message did not survive.

His leg detached itself from his body and bounced up and down on the

bungee cord rather a lot. His body fell to earth and, I regret to say,

was qyite badly damaged. The metal prosthesis was, though, in

remarkably good condition and was, I understand, implanted in a sky

diver shortly afterwards....

Thanks for a good belly laugh. I imagine you chuckled all the

way writing it. If you have more of this stuff, " bring it on " .
