My PCP is getting into the act finally. I went to her yesterday for the

rash, but also to talk to her about my psychological problems and to ask

for her advice on who I might see. NO MORE PSYCHIATRISTS.

So I'm weaning off Prozac by taking two a day for a week, then one a day

for two weeks. She added Effexor, 75 mg once a day. I'll go back in a

week, and I guess she'll step up the Effexor when I lower the Prozac again.

The rash is hives, you might know. So nothing for it but try to lessen

stress and worry. Still taking Klonopin for anxiety, but I've been

slacking, taking one pill a day instead of 3. I'm going back to 3, in the

hopes that my recent problems will be helped.

Didn't get a Kenalog shot; she changed me to solumedrol, which she said

would last longer than my 2-month limit on Kenalog. MAN, that shot

HURT. Wowie.

Being referred to a psychologist, which I think is good news. Also she's

on my health plan, which my shrink wasn't. Plus she's a SHE! Maybe this

one will listen instead of ordering me around, I dunno.

So I like the idea that my psychologist and my GP might work

*together*. Seems promising.

Fingers crossed,

Em

It is the tale, not he who tells it.

I no longer need to punish, deceive or compromise myself.

Unless, of course, I want to stay employed.
