Autopsy, and cremation ... then, what of SSD & VA applications?

Hi all,

My six years of disability drained me. Not to mention another ten years of

on-off disability. There is much not done since I thought it would be me first,

not healthy Bill. I mean at least BP wise.

I am told that the VA only provides the plots for veterans and the spouse. We

get to do the rest. My helpers are suggesting basic service, from hosp. to

crematorium and then just a memorial service with his picture; or hospital to

crematorium and on to urn to me or urn to the plot. But, I do not do it right I

do not get to see him ... I suppose. I am an only kid and never had the

postion of planning funeral.

Gosh. I am told he is frozen. Maybe. But in any case he is still in the

morgue. Lynn and my friends worked to get info and have now come to me to decide

if

I want burial, cremation or what. Amazing the choices I must make this day.

Here is my Question:

I am asking for an autopsy. I want to know, exactly what happened. If the

hospital does everything and immediately cremates, I have nothing. Nothing in

terms of me trying to still get Bills PTSD VA benefits and the SSD

benifits/survior benefits. OR maybe autopsy is not required.

I need info on the brain, when it started that may show why he did not

perceive the need to speak up. These doctor in effect gave me days notice about

the

spread of the cancer. One therapist now says looking back there is something

wrong with the way Bill could not/would not show his pain. With the pain level

he had even two years ago or four years ago, why was he not given a full

medical work, ray or catscan. But I know perhaps because he had no symptoms.

I feel an autopsy and full medical records will allow all who need it better

info. I hope I am making sense here.

Any general comments would be appreciated. My family never did cremation.

Caro.
