Lori,

I did the same thing. I broke the fifth metatarsal in my left foot and walked around on it for two weeks. Finely my husband said if I didn't go to the doctor he would drag me there! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the x-ray. I was sure it was just a bruise. That's when I cried because I had a broken foot! lol

Re: Deanna home-to Cheryl

Cheryl,I totally believe that is true. I broke my foot anddidn't know it. I get pain in my feet alot, so Ididn't think anything of it...until it wouldn't fit inmy shoe anymore from the swelling. By that time, itdidn't hurt anymore (at least I didn't think so). Ihad lost about 1/4 inch of bone tissue from thefriction...ewww...I hate to think about it now, but itdidn't hurt as bad as myositis...that is the worst!Anyway, I think you are right on the whole that we areused to pain so we just don't let it bother us asmuch. Lori
