Guest guest
Hi, everyone, and my apologies for being absent for most of the last couple of weeks. I have been poked and prodded, peeing in little cups, and leaving odd deposits off at labs all over this town for weeks, now, and it's not over, yet. Oh, No-o-o. I still have a chemically induced heart stress test in early June, and a lung stress test that hasn't been scheduled as yet, AND, more lab work...ick. So far, all they have found is that on top of everything else, I have a sinus and ear infection going on at this moment. So, back to the antibiotic (There is only one I can take without a severe allergic reaction.), acidopholus capsules to prevent yeast and tummy upset, and so on, and so forth, ad infinitum ad nauseum. You all know the drill, right? So, although I usually like to greet all newcomers personally, I am afraid this will have to do. Welcome to all the new members, I believe you will find the people here to be intelligent, funny, caring, supportive, and well informed. Ask questions, join in conversations going on on the board, and make yourself at home. We are glad to have you with us, although not for the reasons that we are brought together. Lupus is no joke, but we can help each other through, and even get a few laughs along the way. I live in No. California, about 50 miles from San Francisco, and am the adoptive single parent of four special needs kids, grandmother to two. My two youngest boys, ages 12 and almost 16, are still at home, so I have many challenges. LOL I was dx'd with SLE, RA, Sjogren's, chronic Lyme's, Anemia, chronic Myofibrositis, and non-isnsulin dependent Diabetes all between the ages of 30 and 45. However, my symptoms really began when I was ten. I am now being tested for heart, lung, and kidney complications, hence my absence over the last few weeks. I hope you will enjoy your experience with us, and will be able to join right in. Happy whatever to anyone who celebrated a birthday, anniversary, or ??? lately. Forgive me if I didn't get around to a personal greeting. You know I love ya. Take care, everyone, and I'll keep you all posted on my progress. Our dear used to say she was "off like a herd of turtles", but I am more like a slug of snails. Love, MM
