Hi everyone! I just wanted to check in and say hi. I hope everyone

is doing well.

I noticed there seems to be a lot of dog lovers on this site so I

had to tell you about my new little angel.

I just adopted a little chihauhau that was abandoned. I love little

dogs and have always wanted one but my husband tends to like the

bigger dogs so we have an Australian Shepherd.

I guess God decided to bless me because I really couldn't afford any

of the little dogs I liked so I just kept looking and dreaming about

getting one someday.

2 days ago my teenage daughter went jogging and while she was gone

she called me on my cell phone to tell me she was at a neighbor's

and they had found a stray small dog and needed someone to take it

to the pound.

I ran right over and found this tiny little 3.5 pound dog. I said

if she doesn't belong to anyone I'm keeping her. They said they had

called a couple of shelters etc but couldn't find anything. I took

her to the vet yesterday and they examined her and said she is about

7 years old and looks like she might be part Mexican hairless. She

is already spade and has no chip in her. They said she must have

been traveling for quite a while because her little pads on her feet

are worn out and raw and her skin is red and scraped up and looks

sunburned. She has a missing tail and was starving. All I had to do

with her was get her nails clipped and immunize her. Next week I

will take her back in for a rabies shot and to have her skin looked

at. They said sometimes older people have little dogs like this and

they pass away or get sick and the family doesn't know what to do

with them so they just leave them somewhere. Whatever the reason she

came to us I consider her a blessing. She is so sweet she loves

everyone and is already house trained. She follows me everywhere

and wants to lay on my lap while I'm doing things. She doesn't like

to be alone at all and is so cuddly and loving. I have to tell you

I think this little dog is a blessing for me and my health also. I

was having such a hard time getting up and felt like I was getting

so depressed and focusing so much on my aches and pains. Now I feel

like I have a reason to get up and get going and its taken my mind

off of thinking so much about my physical pain.

I'd love to take a picture and post it for all to see if someone can

tell me how to do it. I have a digital camera and have no problem

getting the pictures on the computer. Hope you are all doing well!

Carol
