Guest guest
Shirley, I hope the swelling in your ankles is going down. I too have had this problem over the years. It usually gets worse in the summer. I've found a few things that help. I think the thing that makes it so bad is sitting down for long periods. That's tough for me because I work at a desk. Now I'm just careful to move around, exercise, put my feet up and keep an eye out for the first signs. They almost always swell up when I take a plane trip, car trip, or when I get sun exposure on my ankles. I've taken water pills to help with the swelling and of course keeping them elevated. The water pills are kind of hard on the kidneys, so I only take them when I have to. One time my ankles were so swollen that I lost 6 pounds in one hour when I took a water pill! Needless to say I didn't leave the bathroom LOL. Sorry your rheumy is such a jerk. Good luck -Tana > HELLO MM , THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING TO ME !
