The craziest thing happened last night. We had our curling wind-up, which is a

party at our club at the end of the season. The finals are played and everyone

comes out for it. My team has done very well and we were curling in the A side

finals. It was pouring rain outside and with all of the snow that we've had this

year, the club started to flood. As we were curling, water started pouring onto

the ice from under the walls. It was a matter of minutes before the entire

curling ice was completely under water! The water was flowing through the

building so fast that you could see little " rapids " . It was so bizarre. I guess

we'll have to play out our game next year!

Yup, it seems to be doing that a lot in Winnipeg too. The streets are just

completey flooded to the point of not being usable unless you have a canoe that

is.

A friend of mine had to go and bail the water out of his basement last night and

was in search of a pump. From the sounds of it Revy and Home Depot are going to

be selling them like crazy today.

Ah, good ol' Mother Nature!
