RE: umbilical hernia

Hi,

I'm sorry, I'm far behind with my emails and only came

across this today...

I just thought I'd mention that my son Alister (right

clubfoot) had both an umbilical hernia and an inguinal

hernia. The umbilical hernia came at about 2 months

if I remember rightly, didn't cause him any discomfort

and went away completely on its own without any taping

etc. His twin had the same thing as well by the way.

The inguinal hernia needed an emergency operation and

he was in a lot of pain, he didn't stop screaming and

we went to A&E where they diagnosed it and operated on

him at 7 weeks old, 2 days before his due date! He

was still in casts but that didn't cause any problems.

I don't know if this helps but I thought I'd mention

it anyway just in case.

Cheers,

with twins Alister and (*11 Sep 02, one

clubfoot between them)
