Guest guest
Shirley, Why are you on antibiotics? Do you have an infection? If not, antibiotic therapy can do more harm than good by cancelling the medication's effectiveness when you DO have an infection. Also, is your current doctor a Rheumatologist? If not, why not? If so, maybe it's time to find a new doc. I, too, am getting worse as I age, but my doctors are working steadily to help me weather each new thing as it comes along, and keeping close tabs on my condition at all times. Sounds to me like you need to have a serious, assertive discussion with your doctor AND your hubby. You can't work if you are sick, and, while I don't know what kind of work you do, it adds stress to your life, and that adds flareup possibilities to your Lupus. The stress of a non-supportive spouse or family can do the same. So, talk to your husband, and talk to that doctor, and if things are not improving shortly, see about getting help from another quarter. Keep us posted, as we are truly interested in seeing that you get the support you need. Hugs, MM
