Luck is on my side for finding this group.

For the last 2 years I though I was alone (how stupid of me).

Facts:

- 30 yo.

- Very athletic and Ski pro.

- Living in Lebanon (Middle East) where knowledge about Arthritis is

still very low.

- Have been lately diagnosed with Hip Arthritis in both after pains.

- The pain is growing and consequently I have stopped all sports

activities.

- The pain comes and goes and lately it has increased specially

after partying or riding my motorcycle or being with my GF.

- It is affecting my lifestyle, my work and my social life to some

extend.

I was very reluctant about have a total hip replacement bcoz of my

early age and the wearing of the implant.

But I came to know about the M/M resurfacing and have read several

review on it. I was very pleased but still have some doubts knowing

that the procedure is very knew and did not yet proved itself over

time.

I have so many questions before I decide, specially that there is no

one in Lebanon who could help or guide:

- Is M/M resurfacing the best solution?

- Which country performs it best?

- Do I have to wait until the pain is unbearable or the earlier the

better?

- How can I hand over my case and to which doctor?

- I probably need it for both my hips so will it be done

simultaneously?

- What could be the rounded-up cost for each hip?

- Does health insurance cover it?

As a start I think these are sufficient questions.

Will much appreciate a helping hand and guidance in the above.

hip hip hip!
