That would be me for sure! We have MANY birds. We've been raising birds ranging from parakeets to cockatoos & the mini macaws for 20 years. You haven't lived until a cockatoo chases your toes! I'm going to have to dig out some good bird pics. We also take the birds to some of the area nursing homes for visits, give programs for schools, scouts, civic groups, etc. The birds always get a lot of attention!

We also have dogs (Lab, St. Bernard, Beagle/mix, & a Llasa), a bunny, 2 gecko's, & 1 hamster. I think at one time or another we've had just about any kind of pet or farm animal there is! LOL

Anyone a bird lover? This is Butch. What a lil devil he was. Used to hide under the coffee table and run out and bite the dogs toes as they walked by! lol

Hi ,

You must be very knowledgeable about birds. I have only dabbled in them. I have had parakeets, cockatiels and the love bird. I loved my birds. I had three different varieties of cockatiels at once. They gave us so much pleasure. I have never heard of taking birds to nursing homes, what a wonderful thing to do. My son came home from school one day when he was in middle school and told about a person who brought a variety of birds to a school assembly. He really enjoyed that.

You certainly do have a unique collection of pets. Thanks for telling about them! I would love to see pictures when you find them!
