HI all,

I was wonder if anyone has heard of this hospital. I called Bringham and

Woman's Hospital in Boston and this is where therir Foot and ankle clinc is

located.

I'm not sure @ Faulkner in particular, but I can tell you, from what I can

say, that Brigham's, has one of the finest reputations, in the world & I doubt

that they would be affiliated with anything less then the best, but will follow

up & ask my brother, the chiro that lives there & we can also find out about

ratings. And honestly, as an aside, if my sister in law hadn't given birth to

my nephew there, undoubtedly neither of them would be alive today. And

instead she is fine & he is 95% OK. It was nothing short of a miracle & was

because they see so many " out of the ordinary things " that they were able to

pick up

on what was going on with my sis in law at the delivery, after a completely

normal pregnancy & delivery, until the last second.

________

She had an " amniotic embolism " & both she & the baby developed seizures & she

lost her entire volume of blood & then some & it was all replaced in no time

& both were stabilized & the baby rushed accross the street to Children's

Hospital. He was in trouble & has had a lot of speech & OT assistance & still

has

some minor deficits, but they are to a minimum now & improving all the time.

He's 7 now.

Although to be honest, sometimes you can go to the best (or the worst

hospital) reputation wise & wind up with someone who doesn't " fit in " with the

reputation of the hospital &/or they could be having a particularly bad or good

day

as well. But you should surely always look for the one's with the better

reputations. I'll let you know.

I have an appointment for the end of the month but was wondering if anyone

has heard of it and how it is rated. I know there are a lot of good hospitals in

the Bosotn area but I am tired of messing around with the DR's That got C- in

med school. I want a top foot and ankle doc preferably in the Boston area.

Luckily Duke gave me a month worth of increased morphine so hopefully we can

make the trip and soon. Anyone know how I can find ratings for hospitals

different departments? Thanks

Sue K
