My name is Marcy. I am 44 and have 5 wonderful kids. I have a great

husband who is a terrific support too. Sometimes you just need the

support of women and that is why I am here.

Thursday I went for a routine mammogram. I have not had one since May

2001 because I have pregnant or nursing since then and was told to

wait 6 months or so post nursing to have a new mammo done. So anyway,

I had a mammo on Thursday. There is a mass in my left breast. It was

there in 2001 but has grown. It is irregular, solid, and 1.5cm in

size. Does this mean cancer? I am so afraid or the answer I was not

sure if I wanted to ask the question.

I see the surgeon today (the radiologist said the mass has to come

out). What questions should I be asking? What should I be concerned

about.

This is making me so crazy I have hive everywhere.

Thanks Marcy
