Guest guest
Hi ya'll, I didn't expect to see 12 emails waiting for me today after only joining the group last night. A nice surprise. I have belonged to other groups (not lupus related) that were a bit snooty. This is a nice change. Some of your emails asked me to tell you about myself so here goes... I live in a tiny town south of Rochester NY. I am a transplanted Florida cracker and actually like it here in the north. We've been here 25 years so I guess I'm use to it by now. I have 3 grown daughters and 4 grandbabies. My husband and I have a music ministry, mostly southern gospel music but I like to sing many other styles as well. I am also a freelance writer but do not have much time for it these days as I am babysitting 3 grandsons (4, 3 and 18mos.) Most of the time I am about one brick shy of a load, a couple fries short of a Happy Meal, the elevator not making it quite to the top, if you know what I mean. I can trace lupus activiity in myself back to the age of 20 when I went through a hugely stressful time in my life. Didn't get a diagnosis until 10 years later which I understand is not all that long compared to some folks. My symptoms are mainly joints and central nervous system (lots of migraines). I have fibromyalgia, degen. disc problems (have had c5,6,7 fused) knees scoped, Arnold Chiari Syndrome, interstitial cystitis, oh a whole bunch of other boring stuff. I am being interviewed for the lymphostat-B research that is currently beginning in the Rochester area. But I have a few questions that I'd like answered first before I agree to do the guinea pig thing. Well enough about me. And thanks againg for the welcome.
