Guest guest
Try going to a store that sells clothes for fat men. They have some socks that are 'elastic free' and stay up. They also wear well. They are 'dress' socks, so they don't offer much cushioning, if that makes a difference. Mike > > Hi. Guest guest
I nurse told me to put some activated charcoal in a paper towel, wet it, and put it on the sore. It will draw out toxins and such. A burning feeling means it is working. I have never tried it (not needed to, thank goodness), so can't say if it actually works or not. On the socks, I got some at a sports equipment store called Acadamy in Houston. If you don't have one near you, I will be happy to pick up some up for you. Write me offline. > > Hi. Guest guest
- > Can > anybody recommend any brands or stores? , Do you have a Target store nearby? The best socks for diabetics are found in the pharmacy section. Target has a brand called Peds. They are white and come in men's or women's and various sizes and crew top lengths. They are very cushy on the bottom to no irritation. I think they were $3.50 approximately each. They also do not get too tight. I have different types of socks but for something like this I would recommend these. They also work well to sleep in. Check any pharmacy section and they usually have various types of diabetic socks. That way you can see and feel them first. Walmart has some but they are in the sock section. Most pharmacies will carry them in the section where diabetic supplies are located.
