Guest guest
Ok, something is NOT right. was put on antibiotic on friday night. Then she had togo back cause her other ear started hurting too. And really bad. So they gave her a different antibiotic. Every night, she wakes up with intense pain. Last night, she was up for half the night just crying and crying. I gave her the meds, had her take a hot shower, and got in bed with her. She finaly got to sleep when the meds took effect. Now, shouldnt' she be feeling better by now? Something tells me this isn't a regular ear infection. She says it hurts behind and below her ear, as well as in what she described as the canal. She isn't hearing well out of the worst ear. I gotta take her to an ear dr first thing this morning. I've never know an ear infection to hurt this bad for this long. She's on augmentin, which is pretty strong (and expensive!). She's had percocet, tylenol codeine, and vicodin, along with a muscle relaxer, cause her neck is stiff and sore. (Not all at the same time!) Can you get an ear infection that doesn't respond to antibiotics? Do you know what they do for that? I suppose that would mean it's a bacteria instead of a virus? I hope it's not something really bad. I know it's not a normal ear infection. Hugs,
