Good Luck. [ ] Arabinose/3-oxoglutaric/hippuric Dear Folks, We've been around a longgggg time but once again, help! What's YOUR best method of treating any or all of the above. OAT results 3-oxoglutaric l.0 (range 0-0.5) arabinose 157.8 (range 0-47.0) hippuric 1601.92 (range 10-400) Bless you all for the time you give helping to 'cure' my son, Jill =======================================================
Guest guest
Have the results verified by another lab. No matter how you cut it arabinose is not a valid test in urine. Pretty worthless. My son's urine arabinose level has slowly declined with each course of Diflucan, with corresponding " die off odor " to his breath. His urinary arabinose had been elevated at pretty much the same level for 2 years until I finally treated him with antifungals. nat
Guest guest
We've had many OAT tests over the past year, with a see-sawing yeast problem. For what it's worth, in my son's case the arabinose level did seem to correspond quite closely to his yeast level, judging from his behavior and the appearance of his stools. We have treated that and his clostridia problem successfully with GSE and Culturelle. > Have the results verified by another lab. > > No matter how you cut it arabinose is not a valid test in urine.
