I never heard of yeast comming out unless the stool is muchy.

Yeast comes out once it is killed off and dead. If your son is

experiencing die-off giving him a laxative will help get the dead

yeast out of the gut. Then he won't feel so achy and crummy.

Have you tried him on caprylic acid to kill yeast? That worked

almost as good as Nystatin for me. Pro Biotics never did much

for me. And I had big problems with constipation.

Hind site, chronic hard poop/pellet formed poops for my daughter for her entire

8 yrs should have been my number one clue of yeast. She ate fruit, veggies, and

tons of water. Because she went every day I never really considered it to be a

form of constipation. When I finally was enlightened to what was really going

on in her gut last year, (horrible yeast issues), this too was a major concern

of mine-to get that stuff out effectively. There are allot of constipation

ideas that work wonders for kids, you just have to find the one that works on

your child. Dana's website has a summary of ideas. For us, magnesium does the

trick. Can't begin to tell you the relief in knowing she know has normal

movements. Test out the different options, you'll find something.

Take care,

Kari

[ ] Yeast Excretion Question-How to Make Stool Softer???

Everyone,

My son is having a really bad yeast flare up (behavior has gone really

downhill lately). We are treating with several different probiotics. I read

somewhere that in order for yeast to come out via stool, it has to be mushy.

Unfortunately, my guy's poops are really hard.

Is there anything we can use (besides a drug store stool softener) to make his

poops more mushy?

Sorry for the gross out factor but I need to know...

Thanks,

I don't know about that.....

magnesium will make stool softer.

So will vitamin C, if you give " enough " of it, but the

dose varies from person to person. (If you give more vitamin

C than the body needs, you get diareah -- this is expected

and predictable. Just the dose varies.)

good wishes,

Moria
