Yes...although my wife, anne, has only had neuro surgeries so far, we have had radio-surgry doctors tell us that radiation can very possibly (some said probably) affect hearing.

Ive never heard of radiation as a way of improving much less

saving hearing. the 1 time i inquired with a dr abt it as possible

treatment for my AN's he said it wouldnt save hearing but maybe only

drag it out a few years til deaf. SORRY IF THAT SOUNDS HARSH BUT NF2

IS HARSH, YOU USUALLY GO DEAF, A FEW LUCKONES DON'T.

When I asked the neuro how come, his reply was: he didn't know for

sure but it is possible that damage from the radiation could explain

the hearing loss and that this would not show up on an MRI.
