Guest guest
Betty, you may be absolutely right on the pollen count thing. I don't have this all the time, but something in the air sets me off, although I no longer get sick anymore with sinus problems. It is usually started in early Fall here. I have two sons who had allergies, and remember seeing a chart in the pediatrician's office that showed what was causing problems in the area I live. That is when they always got sick, as well as myself. Sudafed used to be my friend. The little small red coated sudafed I took for years. It also helped one time when I was pregnant in 1986 and woke up at 3 am in the morning with tooth pain. I tried my darndest to talk my dentist into pulling that tooth to get relief! It wasn't even the tooth! It was my sinus' that caused that tooth to hurt. He finally handed me a paper that said to check with my ob-gyn to see if I could take it (sudafed), and to get some baby ora jel, and put it on a q-tip, which he'd done in his office, and wala, instant relief? He would take that baby oragel and run it up into the side of my nose and the tooth pain stopped almost instantly! rofl. He was right on target! I was able to take the sudafed too, but no more waking up at 3 am and not getting any relief. lol. I also had no more trouble with that tooth either. SandyE~Houston comment on ear itching!!! I have the ear itching thing when the pollen count is very high. It drives me nuts. My sinuses get all stuffed up and then my ears itch. The only thing I have found to work for me is sudafed. I have to be careful not to intake too much caffiene with sudafed because it gives me to much of a head rush!!
