Hi Mojo,

Yes, I am on 18 mg.of prednisone a day...and am tapering off 1mg. a week......I thought prednisone probably was probably the cause....I never had it happen before I was diagnosed with Lupus and put on prednisone.

I bruise very easily ....I always have bruises all over my hands and arms....and My poor feet.....I dropped a bottle of laundry soap on my foot on May3rd........and it still looks like an elephant stepped on it.....then just 2 days ago I dropped a plate on my other foot while doing dishes......my foot saved the plate from breaking......and now I have a matching pair of blue feet......(I always was quite fashionable and color-coordinated !) AND GRACEFUL!!

And Mojo, I apologize for making fun of your typo. this morning.....you just had `fumble-fingers'!.....I did a real `Here's your Sign ' one ......I looked at my calendar this morning and noticed that I had crossed off the days of the month down to the 31st and thought in a panic'....."Oh man I need to call in my prescription refills" , (I always pick them up on the 3rd of the month when I get my disability.)

So I got all my scripts together and called them in ....of course you don't talk to a real person.....you just punch in the numbers of the Scripts on the phone pad.........Then I got in the shower.While in the shower my phone rang .....it was the pharmacy asking me to call them back........on the way to the phone to return their call, I passed the calendar....and realized what I had done , I had actually crossed off the days of the month down to the 24th.....but since we have 31 days this month, the 24th and 31 are in the same block........I was a whole week ahead of myself.........Thank goodness my pharmacist understood.....She said she had done the same thing this month when it came to paying her monthly bills.....she had half the checks written out before she realized what she had done!

BURSTED BLOOD VESSELS IN EYES?

Greetings Fellow Lupies,

I have a question......Do any of you ever get bursted blood vessels in your eyes? ...This has happened to me 3 times now.......I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror to see a pool of blood in my eye.....(not the same eye each time )......The first time it happened it scared the crap out of me.....I put in an emergency call to my opthalmologist, and he told me what it was from my decription of it......and said that it could be caused by rubbing my eye too hard. He said that he has known it to happen from a "hard sneeze!" and that there was nothing to do but to wait and the blood would be re obsorbed in a few days.

It doesn't hurt , and it doesn't affect my vision......and it always goes away like he said it would . These experiences happened a few years apart each time.....so it not like its a constant thing.....I just wondered how common this is.......this is the 4th day and I can see some of the white returning to my eye.
