Hi! Got a question.

Has anyone ever had Solumbra clothing paid for by their

insurance company. If we have to stay covered up in the summer, isnt it a

medical necessity and shouldnt insurance have to pay for some of it at

least. We have really good insurance and I dont want to have to spend

$200.00 on one shirt and one pant so that I can keep out of the sun. Do

you guys understand what I mean. I was just wondering what you all have

done and what if anything the insurance will cover.

Thanks,

Nathalie

Are you familiar with Rit's Sun Guard? Made by the same people as Rit dye, it puts a sun protective coating on your washable clothing. You use it in your washing machine - one treatment lasts through 20 washings. You can read more about it on there website at

http://www.ritdye.com/sun_guard/faq.asp .

Seems to me that the insurance would have to cover some of it if your

doctor wrote a prescription for you to wear the clothing in the sun.

I would advise you to call your insurance and ask them what their

percentage of payment will be if you get a prescription for the

clothes.
