Guest guest
e: I'm SO glad you're doing better...This is almost like being in school, (you being in the next grade : ) since you started chemo right before me. I know I got nervous when you " disappeared " right after your first chemo (I had all manner of dramatic disasters befalling you - I was SO relieved when you reappeared... particularly since I was " next " - whew! : ) I'm starting to shed pretty heavily myself...I thought I was pretty slick since I ordered a wig August 5th and had my hair cut to match it, but would you believe that UPS went and LOST MY HAIR??? I finally got the second one they sent out today. My hairdresser (whose BP pegged out over this last week) told me she had ordered from them for 20 years and never had this happen...Aren't I just special? : ) I've decided to call it " Nick " (as in " of time " - it looks sort of like a long-haired guinea pig actually... Waiting in the wings... Chrome Dome Debutant #2 - Jen : ) > Friday I go in for the second AC infusion. have been feeling better > this week finally, but with some nausea. (compazine kind of gets it, > yes.) > Hair is nearly all gone. Tonight I am going to brush what I hope > will > be the rest out. Tomorrow I debut in the world in headgear > regardless. > Have a meeting at my office must attend. love to all of you. > e > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Jen, hi everyone, thanks nne for your ever attentive prayers and the blessing of this place. Well the hair was not ready to give it all up. It is long long - or was, before this afternoon when I played with scissors! There I was debating whether to keep brushing out these tresses or go get a cut or what to do, when I thought heck I'm moving into headgear tomorrow anyway, why not? So boom, off it came but by my own hand! I'm afraid it's a bit of a mullet now-- but haven't had it short in very many years and am surprised it actually looks kind of adorable around the face. Ah forgive me if you can; in the midst of everything, here comes vanity for a shout! Jen when is your next treatment? Are you on AC and for how long? I'm sorry if you already said and I'm making you repeat. How are you feeling? Love the story about Nick. Okay bye for now and love from e aka big head fred __________________________________________________

Guest guest
e: My next treatment is October 5. I have 4 rounds of AC, four rounds of Taxol, then 6 months of Herceptin (goodie : ) Your first treatment was the day after my initial consult with the onc (I had just joined the group) so I guess that's why I remember you so well. I stayed in a Phenergan coma for the first 2 days after #1 (I was kinda green : ) Other than that it's been okay...well, I get heartburn free with every meal...oh, and I have sores on my tongue (ew!) But that's pretty much it, so I guess I'm just dandy : ) I am hoping my hair will stay on until the weekend, then I think I'll just grab the horseclippers and have at it - ha! Oh, a GI Jane I'ma gonnabee.... - Jen : ) > Jen when is your next treatment? Are you on AC and for > how long?
