ahhh... she seemed to not even know. I put it all together, put the pad

on and then had to take it all apart to show dh lol. but now I've got some

practice. I found I could poke the clamps out of the seam in the pad to

tighten them, that loosening thing had me worried for a while because I

can't deal with the bar without the pad (don't know how y'all do it with

just that metal bar - it's a safety hazard lol!). She slept like a

rock! In fact, didn't wake up till I got into bed at 1am and moved her

around. I adjusted the bar so that it just fits on her shoulder bones

(sorry! can't remember exactly who wrote that recently but thank you!) and

it's actually a little smaller than her gold 12 " bar now. So maybe she's

really comfortable?

It IS more difficult to put the shoes on the bar. And quite a bit more

difficult to line up correctly since there's so much distance between the

mark on the bar and the degree markings on the sole plate. (that note you

sent was still stuck in the box so that's why I didn't know about the marks

you made till I started messing with it - sorry and thank you again!)

I see now why it may be more difficult to find something that will work to

attach them. The gold bar the sole plate has the bolt, whereas this one

the bolt is actually in the screw that holds them on. Totally different

concepts. And the screw has to be flat enough to be able to walk on

it. So it's going to be difficult to come up with something. It would be

nice if the Mfr. just made a screw that was flat enough not to dig holes in

the floor yet tall enough to get your fingers on to take the shoes off. As

it was I kind of wanted to take them off because I stupidly put her in a

sleeper that has one leg that's solid (no snaps) and it's hard to change

her diaper that way without slipping the leg off (and it does go over the

shoes, but not the bar and shoes of course).

But we're happy with it and it's very cool. Thanks again! Now I finally

know what everyone is talking about here lol!
