Guest guest
Hi Elise! My uterus was measuring 12 weeks before getting preggo. When we found out we were having twins - at just over 10 weeks - my OB said my uterus was " the normal size of a three month pregnancy for a woman carrying SEXTUPLETS!!! " yikes! ~ At this point (almost 5 1/2 months), my perinatologist thinks my uterus will be full term size by 32 weeks - a good portion of that is due to fibroids, the rest is expected accelerated growth due to carrying twins. I did not have a myo/UAE before conception. We contemplated it, but after completing our research on our particular situation, decided we would try to conceive first without surgery for the fibroids. We would consider having a myo if we were unsuccessful in getting pg or carrying a baby. I did not need the expertise of an RE as we had no problem getting pg (Started trying in mid-June, got a postivie test result at the end of July!). I am working jointly with an OB and a perinatologist and am getting u/s every two weeks. I noticed you signed your name with an " MN " . I'm in the Twin Cities, myelf, and have been getting my care through Park Nicollet in St. Louis Park. We will most likely be having the C-sect at Abbott Northwestern Hospital as it is affiliated with Children's Hospital and they handle premmies and hi-risk births. Hope some of this info helped you, Elise, and please feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like! if it weren't for other women sharing there stories with me I would have been a complete wreck throughout this pregnancy!!! All my best to you, > , I am wondering what was the size of your uterus when you conceived? Was it " normal " or enlarged due to the fibroids? I am so thrilled for those of you who have conceived post UAE or Myo! Did you work with a RE, or regular ob/gyn? Sorry so many questions. God Bless, and keep us informed!! Take Care, Elise, MN.
