Guest guest
Hi all, Haven't posted for a while, but thought I'd send out a yelp (mingled fear, excitement, relief, take your pick) before going into surgery this morning at Vancouver General. Bas Masri's my surgeon. He's tops in reconstructive orthopedics but has done precious few surfs - though he has done lots of hemi's, and very complex cases. I trust him. He's using the Durom (Zimmer/ Centrepulse) device, not the Birmingham. Does that make my hip a DHR? Call me a guinea pig - I can take it. Have really been enjoying lurking on this site, preparing for my big adventure. Printed out Jim's useful list of post-op exercises just this morning (thanks!) and chuckled at the dating thread. The sex talk over the weekend was a breath of fresh air. How come no one talks about what I consider to be the biggest hip- OA drag of all? Can't wait to get back in good old-fashioned missionary position -- and neither can my husband. Presumably. Wish me luck. a Brook DHR, Masri, Feb17/
