Guest guest
Oh my gosh, my allergies are so bad! I feel like I have a fish bowl on my head! My ears are clogged, I can't hear! My nose is clogged. My eyes, ears, nose mouth itch. I have a terrible mucosy cough. Breathing is hard. I'm worried I've got a mild case of allergy enduced asthma. This is misery! I just remembered, Gach's book. I gotta go get it out. I saw my mohter in law last weekend. I had given her Gach's book for Xmas. She has terrible sinus problems and insomnia. Since doing the points in Gach's book, she says she's sleeping all night, and her sinuses have been clear. I guess I better give it a try! I've been drinking the Traditional Medicinal's " Breathe Easy " tea, and it really helps. On my first sip, my head started to drain. It's still very clogged, but getting better when I drink the tea. I've really been feeling bad with this for the last week or 2. All my kids are suffering as well, and now Tom is starting to cough. Maybe we all have bronchitis too. Only went to the dr for it, since she was the only one to get a fever. But, she also had an urinary tract infections at the same time, so maybe the fever was from that. I can't stand this. I feel dizzy, and out of conection with everything - like I'm not part of this world. It's an horrible feeling. So, there's my moan for the day. Thought I'd get it out, and maybe I could get on with things. I am trying to clean the carpets with my steam cleaner, thinking I'll get some stuff out of the carpet. I can't beleive what is coming out of them. They certainly don't look that dirty, but the water comming out is black. If I ever build a house, I won't put a bit of carpet in it. It is so gross! The dogs are probably bringing pollen in from outside too. It's like there is poison floating around in the air. It's awful! Well, I hope you all are doing ok. hehe Hugs,
Guest guest
Thanks , especially for listing the ingredients since I have a lot of reactions to meds and herbals. I'll see if I can find it locally... Re: Allergies Hi Bonnie, The company name is " Traditional Medicinals " and it's called " Breathe Easy " . You can get it in the grocery store if your store has a health food section. And, it's at health food stores. It has Licorice root, bitter fennel seed, peppermint leaf, eucalyptus leaf, clendual flower, pleurisy root, ginger rhizome, and eqhedra herb. I put the ephedra herb at the end cause there is a lot of controversy about it. But, I read an article from the local naturpath school, and they really explained ephedra. In the tea, there is only a small amount. It has been used by herbalists and naturpaths, and in anciet chinese medicine forever. It's only recently they started using it as a diet aide. And, they used too much, which is what caused the problem. I was a little aprehensive about trying it, but my mother in law drinks it, and told me it worked great for her. She NEVER takes any medicne, and never got any side effects from the tea. So I tried it, and on the very first sip I could feel my sinuses draining. I didn't get any side effects from it either. Just felt better. But, if you are on meds, you have to be careful about taking herbs. It says on the box that the maximum reccommeded dosage of ephedrine is not more than 100mg in 24 hours. I never had more than 2 cups in a day. It worked really good for me, which is why I told you about it. But, you have to be careful. There are warnings on the box. In my case, I get terrible side effects from decongestants, and can't take them. My heart pounds, I get sweaty and very nervous. My head was clogged for over a week, and I felt terrible, which is why I tried the tea. It's not something I would drink all the time. Just when I'm seriously clogged up. I'm still clogged today, but not nearly as bad. I won't be drinking it today, cause I can get on with things. Years ago I tried one of their teas for period cramps, and it worked great. You just have to decide if you want to take herbs or not. It can be dangerous, especially if you are on other meds. Big Hugs,
