My local oncologist and now THE thyroid cancer expert at the nationally known university teaching hospital an hour away from my home are referring me to a thoracic surgeon. How difficult is the recovery from this procedure? The doctors think I might have thymoma but that I am free of thyroid cancer. Do the lymph glands invaded by thyroid cancer lie in the same area?
