Guest guest
I downloaded a copy of A Comprehensive Guide to Managing Autism by Willis S. Langford. It covers a lot of the things discussed on the list: gfcf diet, enzymes, supplements, metals, etc. It is really good and informative reading. He does not say that any one thing will fix everything, but he does give insight to a lot of things. His paper is supportive of our efforts and seems to be quite a collaboration. He has information from Wakefield, Dr. Amy and people like that and he talks about a lot of what people are getting from places like Kirkmans. I think many people would find it to be helpful. It can be hard to get through parts of it without medical training, but I plan on reading it thoroughly, highlighting things I believe pertain to my child, and taking it to her doctor. I have found that it helps explain some of the reasoning of what I believed and some of what I just couldn't figure out. If you would like a copy please e-mail me privately at sarahschaffer@... and I will forward it to you. It is in Word format. It never hurts to learn more and it is supportive of what we are doing. It is not all about gfcf, but it does talk about it and when he is discussing supplements he will even say stuff like " there is this kind and this other kind, the first one has casein in it so if you are gfcf you will want the other kind " . sarahschaffer@... __________________________________________________
