Guest guest
S., If you ever do remember the details, I'd sure love to hear them. That's exactly what I'm struggling with right now. The Synthroid did not help at all, so I switched to Armour natural thryoid. Many people on my thyroid list have made the switch to natural thyroid hormone and claimit has given them back thier lives. I've been on it since December and feel no improvement yet. Some tell me that adrenals usually need supporting after long term thryoid disease, so I started that too - still no changes. In the menatime, another lupus marker has come back positive that was not positive last spring - so I get closer to a diagnosis with time, but I'm not quiet there yet. If I didn't have the thyroid thing happening - I bet I would be diagnosed by now - I think I have enough criteria - when I compare to others - but it really may be the overlap that is confsuing the issue. So, yes, if you remember, please tell me what test results helped them to finally make the lupus diagnosis firm. Thanks again, S. Kate Re: KATE'S INTRO Hashimotos thyroiditis and lupus When I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 1998, I was in a lot of pain and the meds for thyroid helped a little, I was put on Levoxyl, that helped with the tsh and T4 but my T3 was also out of whack so I was put on Cytomel. My Endocrinologist suggested and referred me to a Rheumotologist and after 2 visits determined that I also had Lupus. I really wish I could remember more details but Brain fog has set in for a while. I will write more as I remember. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1999 almost a year after Hashimotos. Take care, S. from Minnesota.
