Guest guest
It's astonishing -- except for the White House, which is nearly off-limits now. It has become a major effort to send any email to the executive branch. You are allowed to comment only on a limited range of topics (of their choosing, naturally), and have to go through screen after screen of " options " that do nothing except discourage access. Most frustrating...

It has become a major effort to send any email to the executive branch. I've never had any problem sending emails to any politician - even the president. I am certain that the president's email is screened and his staff actually read it, not him. > You are allowed to comment only on a limited range of topics (of their choosing, > naturally), and have to go through screen after screen of " options " that do > nothing except discourage access. Most frustrating... Go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ and there is a whole list of ways to contact the White House. The direct email address for the President and Vice President are right there on the site. Don't bother with the webmail option - just use the email address and it's much easier. President W. Bush: president@... Vice President Cheney: vice.president@... And speaking of emailing politicians - I already received a response from one of our state politicians regarding the email I sent this morning. I also got an email back from another politician the last time I wrote about a state bill. The one this morning said he agreed with me and would be voting no, as I requested. Now, I just have to check his actual voting record later and see if he is telling the truth. -Barb
