Guest guest
- Ive also noticed that my daughter has had very light stools, coupled with constipation and blood in her stool. This started not too long ago when we increased her mineral content - massively - prior to chelation. Did your child have any signs of constipation along with light stools? What levels of calcium were you doing, both before and after? Thanks! > > Why would additional calcium make that happen? Guest guest
Hi , No constipation at first. I am facing constipation right now after years of loose/mushy stools! 500mg per day is fine, 1000mg gives him light colored stools. It slightly varies depending on the type of calcium (I tried different brands and different types). If you have constipation and blood, I do not think it is related to calcium. > > > Why would additional calcium make that happen? Guest guest
Thansk for your reply . also struggled with diarrhea for a long time so it is so odd that she is constipated now. We had her on 600 mg clacium, but we fofgot to include the contribution from her rice milk - thats another 600 mg minimum. We were clearly giving her more than 1200 mg by mistake. We took her off the 600 mg supplement wednesday night as a precaution. Quite frankly, it was too high. We'll see if anything improves. > > > > Why would additional calcium make that happen? Guest guest
- you were right!!! It was the calcium! Today, she had her first stool since the light stool on wednesday - perfect color & form. And, it hasn't been the right color in a while now, which coincides with the time we put her on the increased levels of calcium. The chnage was just too dramatic to be anything else since we only took calcium out of her diet this week. I aslo noticed this in my younger daughter and the same thing occured yesterday, perfect color after removing calcium for a few days. Your insight is saving me a lot of worry, and probably many blood tests for my daughters. Thank you! > > > > > Why would additional calcium make that happen?
