Guest guest
Mojo, What are you cooking for your wingding? I love to read about other people's celebrations and the menus. I was in catering for a long time in my misspent youth, and still love to cook for people who appreciate good food. I just don't have the energy for it most of the time. My boys are lucky I get dinner on the table every night. LOL Don't overdo things, 'k? Loving hugs, MM

Guest guest
I'm actually doing pretty well. Probably won't be after tomorrow. We are having friends and family over for Kasper's birthday. I didn't want that last Saturday due to having chemo two days earlier and the Christening on Sunday. I think that was a wise decision. So, I'm starting to cook today and will be doing a whole bunch of things to get ready for tomorrow. We're not having a crowd, 9 adults and about 4 children. Still, with our Polish hospitality, the table has to be full of everything from cold easy dishes to hot difficult ones. Don't misunderstand me, I would order pizza, but I love doing it all. My house is in a pretty good shape so cleaning will be a breeze, it's just the cooking. Kids are home from school today, it's a teacher in conference or one of those excuses to have a day off. Mojo Mojo How are you feeling? Guest guest
, no rush. Take your time. I'll just give you TWO MINUTES TO FINISH IT UP! WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT READY YET! HOW CAN THAT BE? I SHOULD BE THE ONLY THING YOU THINK ABOUT ALL DAY! Mojo Mojo I'm working on your photo album. I just keep losing it! Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Guest guest
In what time period? And when are you going to check it again? The reason I'm asking, is I don't like the steady increase of creat. Now and then if it goes high it may be a sign of some dehydration or something like that. It's not going in big leaps, still it's going up. Mine was 1.7 in July in September it was 2.1, in October 2.5 and in November I was up to 3.8. Please do not misunderstand me. I'm not saying it will go that way with you. You yourself know we are all different, but it's important that you watch out if it is a steady increase. Mojo Mojo Yea, she made the copies for me for the last 4. They went 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 "The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!" Guest guest
I hope your strict diet does not include food! NO EATING!!!!!! Little water. if it is hurting then it is overworking itself. Eating will only tick it off! Don't let the pain get the best of you! Stay on top of it and your attack will not be half as bad! Let me know how you do........ Love, Becky Mojo (Joanna) wrote: Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know I may not be on so much these next few days. I went to a friend's son's First Holy Communion. They had the reception at a Russian Banqueting Hall. Food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. Not one of those where they give you a portion, but one of those where they constantly bring something else to the table. I tried a little bit of everything, but nothing that should have caused a reaction. Maybe I just ate too much but my pancreas woke me up in the middle of the night. I tossed and turned and didn't get much sleep, took some pain medicine it helped just a tiny bit and I was able to sleep a little bit. It's been nagging me a little all day, now it is getting stronger again. I sure don't want to go to the hospital, so I will have to try and stick to a very strict diet and see if I can get away with it. I've done it before, but I've also spent a few days at the hospital before for this as well. Wish me luck. Guest guest
Mojo when i first found out i had lupus yes i had alot of swelling in my legs. So they put me on that much of laxis a day and they conitued to keep me on that high of a doses for a long time i don't know how much i was spilling i never understood the result of all the lab work or anything like that. but hopefully we can taper me down more on the laxis as for as i know i am not spilling any portien right now but who knows what the 24 hour is gonna show. I haven't any swelling in a good 6 months. I assume that you are taking such a large amount of lasix due to swelling. That can be a sign of lots of protein in your urine. I was on 240 mg lasix daily + zaroxolyn to induce the lasix for while. Otherwise my regular dose was 120 daily. My protein was over 11 gr per 24hrs. Now it is down to about 3-4 gr and I'm on 20 - 40 mg lasix. What a difference. Have you been spilling protein for a long time? Do you know what it was over the years? Guest guest
I think they should address the kidney problem. When my creatinine started going up again two years ago, we were kind of holding off because I was in remission for such a long time, we wanted to see if this was some hoax. I was supposed to see the nephrologist in October, but I was hospitalized for my pancreas then. That's when I found out it went from 1.8 to 2.5, so we scheduled a kidney biopsy which was in the beginning of November. It came back as diffuse proliferate, and by then my creat was 3.8. It sometimes starts to deteriorate pretty fast. Have you ever had a kidney biopsy? Sometimes that is what they suggest before they suggest a treatment. The different stages of lupus in kidneys have to be treated differently, some don't make sense to treat at all, so if it were my nephrologist I know he would take that course: biopsy and then treatment. I don't know what your doctor is going to say, but you might want to discuss it with him. I mean, kidney biopsy is not a pleasant thing, but there is one stage where giving cytoxan for example does squat. See what I'm saying? That was my doctors thinking: yeah, we can start you on cytoxan, but if it is that stage then why waste time and your health when it won't do any good anyway. So, I chose the kidney biopsy to know for sure. It turned out I had no other choice than cytoxan anyway, but at least I knew it was the best course of action in my case. Mojo Mojo Just got a call from the rhuemy that my creatnine levels are going back up again. Wonder what the next step of action will be. I see him next week, wednesday I think. Hopefully they don't decrease my methotrexate any more. I've been having alot of pain in my hips and fingers, ,don't need it to be lowered anymore. And then my sister had a oops baby. Her kids were 11 & 10 when she had Tyler. Who is the joy of our lives!
