Guest guest
Hello all, I recently got some TSH test results back and am really concerned. I am trying to get pregnant so my thyroid doc wants my TSH between 1 and 2. And apparently, he is unable to keep it in that range. In April, I had my TSH done when I was alternating between 50 and 75 of Synthroid daily for about 2-3 months. My TSH had fluctuated within the normal range and then suddenly shot up to 2.9. So he switched me to 75 daily. I was ok the first month of testing, my TSH was 1.2. Then I went this month after being on it for 2 months and it is down to 0.45! So now he wants me to go back to the alternating. But I am confused. Is it normal for your thyroid to fluctuate this wildly? If he has me go back to alternating, won't it go back up to 2.9 again? Why can't it stable out? I feel like I have tried all options of this medication! Any light you guys can shed on this for me would be appreciated. Thanks! Also my T3 and T4 ranges are in the higher range of normal that the lab sent back. __________________________________________________
