As you all know, I have been working with the Editor of " Pulse " for

an article for their May issue on EDS and alternative therapies. I

just got the draft from her tonight. The approach she decided to

take was to essentially use the string of emails I exchanged with

her over the last 4-5 months. At different times, I forwarded

copies of posts to her as background information. She would like to

use some of them in the article.

I am going to copy my reply to her tonight directly below this

section. Beneath it will be the draft of what she is looking at

printing. If any of those listed in the subject line have a problem

with any of it that pertains to them, please let me know right away

so I can get back to Deborah with revisions.

On a separate, special note to TJ, I took the liberty of forwarding

your long " letter to the attorney " to Deborah because I felt very

strongly that your letter laid things out in ways that I never could

and that it really got the message across as to what this damn

disease is all about. Deborah obviously feels the same because she

would like to use excerpts from it. Please let me know if you are

comfortable with having this as part of the article. I think what

you said and how you said it is very important and a message that

needs to " get out there. " And whether you used it with your

attorney or not, I think using it here will make it well worth the

time and pain of having written it.

My Reply tonight:

Works for me. I do have one other testamonial that I had not

forwarded to you yet. I am going to copy it directly below. I am

also going to forward what you sent me to the List, just to make

sure that the others involved with the emails are comfortable with

this the way it is.

The Polarity X technique is practically the same thing that Upledger

calls a V spread or Quantum Touch calls Directed Energy. It is pure

simplicity. You basically palpate around a joint, looking for

tender spots. When you find them, you start with the most tender

point and put the tips of one or two fingers of one hand on that

spot and then place the tips of one or two fingers of the other hand

on the other side of the joint. You might go straight across, you

might go diagonally. You basically let your hands guide you. Then

you simply hold for a therapeutic pulse and wait for the energy to

balance between your two hands. When it does, you repeat with the

next tender point(s). I also use my own variation at times by

grasping with one hand above and the other below a joint, like the

knee or elbow. In essence, I have four points of contact - both

thumbs and a couple of fingers of each hand. This variation seems

to be particularly effective because the two most dramatic results I

have had have been with this hand hold and both involved knees. In

both cases, tendons or ligaments suddenly let loose and the patellas

realigned themselves by themselves. You could actually see the

patellas moving side to side and resettling on their own without

actually being touched.

Subject: Testamonial

My 16 year old son Dylan, has Ehlers Danlos type 3. After almost

12 months of unexplainable left knee pain when baring weight, I came

in contact with Mike Uggen via e-mail. Dylan's pain when baring

weight had been at the 7 to 8 out of 10 pain scale. Mike came to our

home in January 2004 and taught me for four days how to do Polarity

and Acupressure to help my son. Within a three week time period,

Dylan's left knee pain was zero. During that same time, his narcotic

medications were being reduced. A once a week, half hour treatment

has kept the pain at zero.

Dylan's right knee also has chronic unexplained pain. A constant

8 pain level 24/7. The polarity/acupressure has not helped. The type

of pain between the two knees was very different. I find when my

hands work on his right knee, they want to go somewhere else. I just

haven't figured out where they need to go.

Giving my son one good leg to walk on has made a very big

improvement for his mobility. Before January, he could not walk more

than 30 steps. Now he can walk a little further and with less

limping and with less falling. Previous to learning these

modalities, Dylan was falling every week. He has only fallen once

since Mike has taught me Polarity and Acupressure.

Since learning these things, I have helped friends and family

with headaches, acid indigestion, constipation, and many other

things. I have also been able to teach them to help themselves.

Cover Email from Deborah tonight:

Re: Accident

As of today, and I are both essentially back to normal. For

the record, what we did was: First, took a muscle relaxer almost

immediately, which helped prevent some of the tension from setting

in the first place. Second, we set about dealing with the various

pressure points outlined both by Mike and two of the books on the

subject. (I haven't even gotten to go through Mike's full procedure

yet; I plan to learn that tomorrow.)

It's worked, as far as I'm concerned. I've still got some

residual imbalances...but that might also be the cold air coming

this weekend...I could, actually, feel muscles relaxing at various

points today. Quite nice, to simply press and feel that gentle

melting...I did discover I have to be very careful on my shoulders,

it takes so little pressure to push my arm out.

This is so worth learning....
