Has anyone seen the commercial for Caltrate? It states that taking that reduces the risk for developing polyps which has been scientifically proven to being a leading factor in develop colon cancer.. Myself, I'd prefer to have them removed and not take the chance..Instead of going back often to watch them or have the chance of them turning into a more serious problem like cancer..But I would definately talk to a Gastro Specialist about removing them.. I'm not sure why he would do that keep an eye. I hope this helps you some.. Take Care, Colonoscopy....... I have had a scope one done in the specialist office. I know I have two polips that have to come out, should I be concerned of this, the Doc said we will have to keep an eye on them. Now what the hell do you think that is supposed to mean? My Rheumatologist says they usually turn cancerous and they should be removed. Has any one been in this situtation? ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 8 Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 12:49:46 Subject: Cheryl Every person I know that has had a colonoscopy has had the doctor tell them the same thing. They found some polyps and are sending the polyps for a biopsy. They ALL have came back OK....none of them have had cancer, but they've all had polyps. I almost think it's routine-that they tell people this. EVERY single person that I can think of right off the top of my head -- that has had a colonoscopy has had polyps removed for biopsy. It's the same with my friends who are in their 30s and have breast lumps, they are removed for biopsy and thank goodness all of the biopsys have came back as 'just lumps' and not cancer! -2 kmnewberry@... ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 10 Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 07:28:28 -0500 Subject: Re: Hi Cheryl: the supplement to stop carb cravings (sugar) is L-Glutamine. Ellie Re: Eyes.......blurred vision, I get at times. It will be like a fog on the eyeballs and at times my eyes will be sunk in and sore. Then like today I have eye pain like a sharp object tring to come out of the eye from behind the eye ball. We all have to remember the eye is also a muscle.....it too can swell. When mine does this, it is also very dry and helps to put artificial tears in them. I also wear eyeglasses. With my left eye having a slight vision loss, with no known help of returning vision by any means. I have heard there is a vitamen that helps in stopping the body crave sugars or sweet things. Does any one know what this vitamin is?
