my take on low carb

Low fat was BS. I bought it lock, stock and barrel. For 7 years. If I'd

instead joined WW in 1994, I'd probably be way closer to my goal now than I

am. The only thing that low fat got me is skin which was dry and cracking

open (painful!) and a gain of 30 lbs because there are way too many

loopholes like pop for instance which is NO fat.

I read the Atkins book and in his latest book, he states right there that if

you eat too much of low carb stuff, it can make you fat just like anything

and so you'd better do portion control. Of course, few of the low carbies

have read Atkin's newest book.

I read the science chapter in Atkin's newest book. He based his science on a

couple of studies which took place in the 1950's, which were NOT

specifically inducing ketosis and which are, of course, WAY outdated. There

IS NO SCIENCE behind low carbing.

I am NOT buying into another BS fad. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me

twice, shame on me. Weight Watchers is the winning team and I'm sticking

with it.

Sue who has kept off 30 lbs for several months and continues to lose very

slowly
