Guest guest
I think the POINT (pun intended... sorry... NOT *LOL*) is that Winning Points was an improvement on points 123 because it filled some of the gaps and Flex Points is an improvement on Winning Points. As I understand it, points 123, while revolutionary for its time, had some real loopholes which could be a problem. Also, the Flex Points program is a lot more than points being the most efficient manner of calculating energy in food. I think of WW as a three part tool - Journaling points/10 Tools for Living/Meetings - you need all three. It's not about losing weight but keeping it off for life (hopefully) What I did, because I needed a break from meetings since I'm 28 lbs from goal, to stay connected is I bought an annual membership. I'm not sure if WW offers this in every place but where I live, it's only $60 and then you're like lifetime in that you don't have to pay for skipped meetings, a really awesome option offered by WW. I have been on break from meetings for over a month and will likely begin attending again in August when they roll out the new program. Far as I'm concerned, best $60 I spent... you can have the best of both worlds. Take a break from meetings if you need it but stay connected and start right up again when you need it. There are other ways to stay connected through the web also. But I feel (and this is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt and I don't mean to offend anyone) that it IS important, at least for me, to stay connected. WW is improving the program all the time (although the current one always seems so great how could they improve it?) because they have on staff some of the best scientists in the USA. WW is the only thing which has ever worked for me. Sue who lost another 1/2 lb this AM... woo hooo Weight Watchers since Oct, 2002 Re: will I lose weight at max. points? > No, that is what my point range is (22-29).
