I was glad to be able to read on the links below. Thank You. I am new to the

group and this will be the forst time I'm writing. I have a 5 year old Daughter

who will soon be diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. I fear the connection

between her % YES5 Hepatitis B shots in 1999 and 2000 only (3 or 4 is std.) My

first inclination at age 3 1/2/ -4 was that my daughter had split personallity

disorder. I am now finding multiple connections that point to Autism (although

mild). Spinning, chronic constepation, repetition, speech refression, potty

training regression, agression...I can go on. I have been told it is very hard

to fight this battle legally and takes alot of money- I am lost right now. Can

anyone tell me if they better information? I also see alot of you with all of

these metal tests, diets, vitamins, I haven't even gotten into any of that yet

and need more laymens guidance.

This is the response I received from the CDC. (NIIHNET)
Basically I asked for Steve Cochi's resignation for the offensive
and reprehensible comments and position he publicizes for his
organisation.

The blatant disregard for the victims of mercury poisoning is just
dripping in this short response from them.-drakesdad9
===============================================================
Thank you for writing. & nbsp; Your comments have been forwarded to the
National
Immunization Program for consideration. & nbsp;

The CDC does recommend the use of influenza vaccine to prevent
influenza
among individuals at high risk for complications, regardless of
whether the
vaccine contains thimerosal or not. & nbsp; Influenza kills 36,000 people a
year,
and thimerosal has not been demonstrated to cause harm to any
individuals
receiving vaccines. & nbsp;

You can review the CDC's recommendations on influenza prevention and
thimerosal at the two links below:

It's funny, and expected I guess, & nbsp;
In their response they say 36,000 a year die from Influenza.

Earlier in the article, when quoted Steve Cochi said 140 died last
year of Influenza.

So which is it 140 or 36,000? & nbsp;
And where do they get their statistics?
Do they pick them out of a hat, whenever its appropriate?

Where are all these people dying of the Flu?
I never hear about it except for the rare case.

Maybe.. they were probably about to die of old age ready to go
anyway and the flu just helped finish them off, ya that counts, & nbsp; -or-
they were too young and their immune system was compromised, hmm
wonder how that happened... & nbsp; Or maybe they had AIDS too, couldnt
fight it so they died, ya that counts.. & nbsp; Or even a car accident
victim that happened to have the influenza at the time of the
accident, sure throw that in there too!
Statistic makers are sneaky like that, especially when they are
trying to make a point.
They have this big database to play with, and no one else is allowed
to see.
Makes you feel all warm and safe doesn't it?

You can start with the Files section of this group. DeFelice's

book " Enzymes for Autism and Other Neurological Disorders " is also

extremely helpful. Eventually all of it will start to make sense....

Hi Ellen,

Im sure you will find alot of information here, and most of it is

going to be confusing to a newcomer. I reccommend reading and

getting familiar with the FAQ (frequently asked questions)as well as

some of the Links.

Lawyers -

If you believe your daughter has been harmed because of too much

Thimerosal, contact a lawyer, and file before 3 years after the

first symptoms show. If you don't within 3 years, there is a

statute of limitations. I suggest a lawyer specializing in Vaccine

litigation, and the Autism Omnibus proceeding. Conway, Chin, Caplan

comes to mind. I'm not sure if Aspergers falls under the Autism

Omnibus, so your going to have to ask the lawyer.

Chelation -

If you do decide to start chelation with your daughter, read up on

everything first. I started my son on ALA cycles, and some cilantro

with his ramen noodles. We are guaging his progress as we go.

He is making great progress, a very social and cool little 6 year

year old, but when he wants to ignore you he will. He knows the

basic rules of the UNO card game. He mimics kids movies all day, he

will use a scene in the movie to relay an emotion he is having or to

get his point across. When he thinks he is right, and he thinks his

mom is wrong, he will quote the Iron Giant when Hogarth is trying to

tell his Mom about the giant robot, " it was a hundred feet high! " he

will scream through the house. Because you see in the movie, there

really was a robot, and his Mom was wrong.

School-

Make sure to check on Early intervention programs to get your

daughter enrolled early. My son was in a pre-school class for

Autistic kids, and its best to get them going early.

Early School and our persistence have tought him that whem he wants

something he will make a sentence.

" daddy, I, want, rootbeer " with the slight little pause between

words.

He used to bang his head on the ground or wall, he doesn't anymore.

He still has temper tantrums, but most times its because his

feelings are hurt. He is very sensitive to moods, facial

expressions, has great empathy.

He is a little jokster too, making funnys without knowing it and

cracking the whole house up.

One day to he said to my wife " Momma, toast. "

She replied sweetly " Toast? are you sure? "

He replied right back smiling " Momma, are you toast? "

We all thought it was so funny, and he started laughing too.

Good luck

and keep the faith.

Hi Ellen,

You might get a lot of your questions answered by getting into the files of

this group and doing some reading there. Then come to the group with your

questions.
