It would be good to remind ourselves that ALL the surgeons who perform resurfacing all over the world are at the leading edge of hip surgery, and at one time each took the same leap of faith as ourselves. How lucky we are to have been made aware of this procedure. IMHO, we should be taking our hats off to them, not slating them (they receive enough slagging off from some of their outdated peers) and accept they are all human and sometimes get things wrong, just like the rest of us. The vast majority of us are delighted with the results we have achieved - way beyond our expectations before we found out about resurfacing.
