Make sure that the medical provider is NOT SELECTIVELY giving medical records. The way to assure that ALL your records are copied is to have a copy service do it for you. I know that it costs you to have that done but by law they are supposed to copy all and that means ALL!... I worked with physicians long enough to know that 'selective' omissions happen all the time. The only way to really know if your records have been 'omitted' is to carefully review to see that there are no " blanked out " areas or missing pages. YOU are the care keeper of your own records and you have to be sure that you have ALL YOUR RECORDS to be the keeper of such records. I really agree that everyone should regularly get copies of their records and have them on hand if needed . When gathering the records for Social Security, don't let any hospital or doctors office say that SS is supposed to ask for them. YOU do it and organize it all for easy reader for the people that are going to determine is you qualify.
