3rd ablation update

Saw my EP this morning. Still in sinus, it has been three weeks now. I had a

third ablation

on April 20, then was in constant flutter for almost 4 months. I was finally

able to try

going off rhythmol, and six days after stopping it I converted on my own. Today

I was

given permission to cut my metoprolol dose in half, so I'm hoping to lose some

of the beta

blocker lethargy. I have been on my treadmill 3 times this week, the first

exercise I've been

able to do since the first week of January. Starting slowly at 2 miles each

time.

The difference for me between flutter and sinus is amazing. I swear my brain was

fuzzy in

afib. Getting back to simple tasks I couldn't do for months -- bending over,

lifting boxes,

gardening -- next thing you know my husband will think I should take a turn at

the

vaccuum again.

Anyway, a perfect ECG, reduced meds -- plus I can go off coumadin three months

from

now if I don't have an episode --and for today at least, all the hassle of three

ablations

and hundreds of pills is receding, and the feeling of " normal " is returning.

Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel isn't the headlight on the train.

Helena

43, 3 ablations, in sinus today

WOW Helena - your message is music to my ears. I'm so happy for you, and

thankful that everything is turning the corner in your life (even if it

means you have to vaccuum again). This gives me inspiration for the future.

Good luck - God Bless
