Great idea except for one minor little thing called the U.S.

Copyright Law.

He can't copyright the basic point information such as GB-20 or K-1,

where they are located, or what they are used for. That information

has been around for over 5000 years. I can take any of this

information I want, from his or any other text, and use it with

impunity. I might have to use some caution to avoid using exact

sentences but that is no big deal. The truth of the matter is that

in some cases I can improve on it by adding additional detail.

The pictures and diagrams, however, are another matter. They are

subject to copyright law. True, it is not likely that he or any of

his financial or legal fiduciaries are going to be snooping around

the CEDA list. But why take a chance? It may take a bit longer to

get where we want to be the other way, but we will get there.

I do like the idea of scanning, or a variation of it. As I think

you know, Darlene is pretty skilled in the artistic sense. It

should be just about as easy to have her sketch a hand, arm, leg,

whatever, and to then mark the spots with explanations. It would

probably be easier than doing it with a camera, but we can test both

methods. I asked her and she said she would be happy to.
